Happy New Year to All!

It's certainly great to see the old year end and a new one begin with all the coming changes of seasons and also changes in our spiritual walk with God. The holidays were a good time to finish up all those projects we wanted to get completed and put into writing before the year closed out. I know my time was quite busy and productive. I was able to make about a half dozen submissions for devotionals, poetry, and short stories. I also finished the first 4 chapters of the Christian Fiction novel I've been prompted to write by the Lord. Fellow writer, Lynette Easom, graciously edited my 6th draft.

Next month I will be traveling south to the Florida Writer's Conference and the excitement of that experience is mounting within me. I have never been to a Writer's Conference so far in my neonatal career as a writer, so I have high hopes of making some great contacts and meeting other Christian writers from all over the USA. Most of all, I am truly thankful that Cec Murphy was gracious enough to award me a scholarship to attend. Just as God's gift of grace in the form of His Son was unexpected by the Gentiles, any unexpected gift seems all the more precious.

Let us rejoice in knowing that we have been grafted into the Vine of Eternal Life by God's Power alone!

Blessings,

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I recently started writing both fiction and nonfiction as a Christian writer. I also enjoy writing poetry. I have attended 2 retreats for Christian writers in the past year and hope to attend more conferences to meet editors and to network with other writers. I have one non-fiction Christian short story pending publication.

My purpose for this blog is to gain insight into the needs of the Upstate for conversing about Christian Fiction as a platform for members of the American Christian Fiction Writers group.

Please feel free to bounce off ideas about your work and ask for critiques amongst our bloggers.

Welcome and God Bless You!

L. B. Greer
